The Limes Medical Centre is a five partner teaching / training practice with a list size of approximately 20,000 patients. We offer GP services across four locations; Epping, Waltham Abbey, Theydon Bois and North Weald. We are a Boating Community Friendly Practice.
Our Doctors, Nurses and Staff are dedicated to offering a professional service. This website has been designed to keep you up to date with the latest news , opening times and services we offer. You'll have access to practice information such as how to register, ordering your repeat prescription online and a range of other relevant patient resources.

The Limes Medical Centre asks that anyone coming into the practice wears a face covering to cover their nose and mouth - this can be a mask, scarf or bandana.

CARING FOR YOU DURING THE COVID -19 PANDEMIC
At the practice we have put in place a number of measures to keep our patients and staff safe during the COVID-19 crisis, whilst continuing to provide the best possible care.
If you require an appointment at the practice, please call and speak to our Front of House Team.
We are offering the following types of appointments:
Telephone consultations are available with a number of our Healthcare Professionals including our Dietician, First Contact Practitioner and Social Prescriber
A secure video consultation link will be sent to you via SMS
- Face-to-face consultations
All patients requiring a face-to-face consultation will be screened. Our vulnerable and shielding patients can also be seen at one of our designated branches (low risk zone known as our 'green site') if required . Our Healthcare Professionals will be wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and patients will be required to wear face coverings. Patients will be required to wait outside the surgery until asked to enter the building.
You can order your repeat prescription in the following ways;
- Post / drop off your request at Epping, Theydon Bois and Waltham Abbey
If you do not have a nominated pharmacy, script tokens can be collected from Epping Wells or a Waltham Abbey pharmacy of your choice.

FACE MASK EXEMPTION LETTER REQUESTS
As per guidance from the North & South Essex Local Medical Committee, GPs are not in a position to provide individual risk assessments & letters for patients who feel they should be exempt from wearing a face mask/covering.
MEDICAL CERTIFICATE FOR SELF-ISOLATION
If you need to self-isolate you can get an isolation note to give to your employer as proof you need to be off work. You do not need to get a note from the GP -You can access the self-isolation note guidance here.
There is disabled access at all 4 surgery sites with disabled toilet facilities.
